About

Date of Birth – 1999

2025 B.F.A – University at Buffalo

Raised in Central Oregon, I was often faced with scenarios where adults and students alike would often ask questions regarding my race and religion. Questions, which I later realized, were micro-aggressions. It was strange, to look back on my youth and realize I was often torn between my public and private persona. Even so, my upbringing allowed me privileges of wealth and comfort, for a time, thanks in part to my hard working parents. Immigrants who built a home for their children among numerous obstacles.

And although race has defined a greater part of my life, my art provides freedom to choose any narrative. Whether it be the simple enjoyment of creating, or provoking conversations of social change.
